Competency
Units
As per
the ICT02 Training Package, six competencies from
the list of electives are required for completion of
a Certificate III in Telecommunications (ICT30202).
There are no core competencies. The following
competencies from ICT30202 have been chosen.
ICTTC136B - Install, maintain and modify customer
premises communications
cabling: ACMA Restricted Rule
ICTTC137B - Install, maintain and modify customer
premises communications cabling: ACMA Open Rule
ICTTC009C - Terminate/splice structured cabling and
certify installation
ICTTC010C- Place, secure and terminate optical fibre

Ramsden Telecommunication Training
provides teaching methods which include theoretical concepts
and classroom discussion with cases of various technical
requirement and complication. Students will be facilitated
to develop skills and knowledge to fulfil the requirements
for each competency unit and their elements.
The mode of delivery of training by
Ramsden Telecommunications Training through nationally

discussion followed by assessment questions, assignments and
practical exercises. Practical exercises are conducted in a
simulated work environment both for internal building
installation and external installations. Industrial visits
and the experience of the telecommunications instructors
ensures that the training has a foundation solidly based in
industry practice including the relevant Australian
standards. Furthermore, supervised self study periods
provide a great source of support to assist with academic
progress and competency.
All assessment of units of competence
will be conducted in accordance with the assessment
guidelines and competency standards of the officially
endorsed Training Package for this qualification.
The assessment, procedures and the criteria for judging
